Little Britches Therapeutic Riding in Roxbury will host a special fundraising event Sept. 16 from 6 to 10 p.m. in Bridgewater.
Festivities at the town’s pavilion on Sarah Sanford Road East will include live music by Hazzard County, dancing, a silent auction, and ribs, chicken and brisket with sides by Windover BBQ & Catering in Newtown.
The event is BYOB, but mixers and soft drinks will be available.
Little Britches is a nonprofit organization that helps children and adults with special needs discover their strengths through horseback riding.
“We’re going all out to make the event a success,” Little Britches President Janie Larson said. “It’s going to be a fun way to support a special program.”
The high-energy band Hazzard County will be on hand with modern country sounds to get people dancing.
The Connecticut Community Foundation has offered a matching grant to help stage the event. Other sponsors include Dobson Pools, of New Milford, and Maple Bank Farm, of Roxbury.
Tickets are $50. For information or tickets, call 203-598-2595 or visit the organization’s website.
