The New Milford Public Library will offer activities in the coming days to celebrate Spinning and Weaving Week, which runs Monday through Oct. 11.

Jody Hyman will present a hands-on program about how spinning works Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Main Street library.

The program, limited to 20 people, is open to teens and adults.

In addition, an exhibit, “Spinning and Weaving in the Andes,” is on display through Oct. 18.

Hyman, a New Milford artisan and owner of Ewe Baskets & Handspun Yarns, created the exhibit.
