Laura (Iacobucci) Tiberia, 83, of Roxbury, formerly of Hamden and Las Vegas, died peacefully at her home Feb. 16, 2011, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Tiberia was the wife of the late Alberto Tiberia.

She was born in Ceccano, province of Frosinone, Italy, Oct. 7, 1927, a daughter of the late Giovanni Battista and Filomena Carlini Iacobucci.

Mrs. Tiberia resided in Roxbury for the past five years and had previously lived in Hamden for 20 years and Las Vegas for 12 years before returning to Connecticut five years ago.

Along with her husband, she owned and operated the former "Rome Shoe Importers and Shoe Repair" and former "Rome Barber Shop" at the Hamden Mart in Hamden for 25 years until 1984.

Mrs. Tiberia is survived by a son, Joseph Tiberia, of Las Vegas; a daughter, Catherine Moretti, and her husband, Steven, of Roxbury; a brother, Mario Iacobucci and his wife, Angela, of Hamden; a sister, Catherine Giudici and her husband, Filippo, of Ceccano, Italy; six grandchildren, John, Melanie, Jason and Priscilla Tiberia, Michael Stowe and Tristan Moretti; and a great-granddaughter, Hailey Myia Banuellos.

She was predeceased by her son, Gianfranco Tiberia, and her brother, John Iacobucci. A burial was held in St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven.
