To the Editor:
The third annual Sullivan Farm Fall Festival was a great success.
A crisp, sunny fall Saturday, the generous support of our sponsor, Union Savings Bank, the arrival of more than 1,400 visitors and a score of hard-working volunteers all contributed to a magnificent day Oct. 13.
A heart-felt thank you to the Greater New Milford community, who partook of our activities, demonstrations, sampled the delicious artisanal foods and enjoyed a leisurely day at the farm.
Special appreciation to JJ DePasqua for providing the music, Buck Whiteway, Charmaine Wood, Lynda Wellman, Sharon Sullivan Racis, Marianne and John Black, Rick Agee, Holly Mullins, the LaVia, Mills and Negrao families, Mike and Becky Hoyt, Greg Kaiser, Tom O'Brien, Marty and Ginny Landgrebe, Dave and Diane Riddle, Erin Buck, Mike Krug, Ivan Shiffman, Curtis Ek, Brooke and Valerie Tomiello, Sophie and Cheyenne Martin, Courtney Linderman, Josh Worthington, Mike LaVia and the Sullivan Farm Food Connection Corps volunteers.
Thanks to the many exhibitors and vendors for the delightful and varied offerings, to the New Milford police and health departments for their help, to New Milford Farmland Preservation Committee for donating "Who's Your Farmer" guidebooks and to Sharon Kaufman and Jayson Roberts of the New Milford Village Center for the Arts for the many faces painted.
The Sullivan Farm annual festival is only one of the many wonderful New Milford events that are possible because of the support of residents working together so we can all enjoy the rewards of the harvest.
Thanks to everyone who enjoyed the day with us. We look forward to seeing you next October.
