Gunn Memorial Junior Library in Washington has announced its summer programs.

Dig Into Reading, a summer reading program, is underway.

Family Fun programs will include "Under the Earth Creepy Crawlies" July 2 at 6:30 p.m.; "Dinosaurs Rock" July 5 at 3:30 p.m.; a Home Depot workshop July 9 at 6:30 p.m.; "Just Dig It" experiments on rocks July 16 at 6:30 p.m.; a program with Earthplace from Westport, featuring rescued animals, reptiles, amphibians and insects, July 23 at 6:30 p.m.; a "Dinosaur Dig," featuring fossil-, bone- and footprint-making, July 30 at 6:30 p.m.

In addition, the Litchfield County 4H will present "From the Roots Up" July 12 at 3:30 p.m. and "Trash to Treasure" July 2 at 3:30 p.m.

The library's Reading with Rover program, featuring reading time with a local therapy dog/human team July 6, 9, 20 and 23 from 10 to 11 a.m.

Story times are also available for all ages.
