Kent library sets special events

Kent Memorial Library will offer two special programs in the coming days.

A program with Irish author and Kent resident Frank Delaney will be held Feb. 11 from 4 to 6 p.m.

A snow date of Feb. 18 is set.

Mr. Delaney will discuss and sign copies of his latest book, "The Last Storyteller," the conclusion of the trilogy that includes "Venetia Kelly's Traveling" and "The Matchmaker of Kenmare."

Seating is limited; advance registration is suggested.

The library's parents' committee will sponsor its annual fundraiser party Feb. 19 from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. at Kent School's ice rink at 1 Macedonia Road.

The family-oriented event will feature the sale of food and skating, with skates available to rent at Backcountry Outfitters.

Tickets are $4 for adults, $2 for children and $10 for families.

Patrons asked to wear a hat.
