The Kent Memorial Library has announced that for the fourth time the library is the recipient of a Connecticut Library Association Award.

This year the library has been awarded honorable mention in the print media category for outstanding library public relations.

The winning materials were the invitation and program for the library’s 2015 annual spring gala.

The graphics for this annual event were designed by Lucy C. Pierpont, the library’s marketing and special events director.

Pierpont has worked at the library for six years and in graphic design and public relations at Klemm Real Estate, with previous experience at Hartwick College, The Litchfield County Times, and her own marketing company based in Waterbury.

The winners of these awards were recognized at the Connecticut Library Association Annual Conference at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford in April.
