The First Congregational Church of Kent will hold its annual harvest fair Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Traditional offerings at the Route 7 North church will include a Fran's Attic tag sale; exhibitions; the sale of crafts, including holiday and specialty items, and one-of-a-kind handcrafted gifts and folk art; the sale of homemade baked goods, jams, jellies and vegetables; a silent auction with bidding and a buy-it-now table; food at Candie's Kitchen; a kids' corner with games and other activities; a book signing; and a vendors.

New additions this year will be a Halloween costume contest and trick-or-treating and live music by Andy and Jeannette Hicks, both at 1 p.m.

In addition, nationally recognized educator and Kent author Vincent LaFontan will sign copies of his new children's book, "The Little Boy Who Ate Dirt Pudding and Roasted Pine Cones" from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
