The Kent Singers will present a concert Saturday in Bridgewater and May 14 in Kent.

"A Bit of Spring, Love and Laughter -- Through the Ages from Moteverdi to PDQ Bach" will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church on Main Street in Bridgewater and at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church on Main Street in Kent, both at 8 p.m.

The group will perform a selection of humorous songs and spoofs by the fictitious 18th century composer PDQ Bach, as well as "Epitaphos" by Gerald Near in 1998, "Animal Crackers" by Connecticut composer Eric Whitacre and 16th century madrigals.

Tickets to the concert are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students and free for children 12 and under.

The group will also perform in a choir festival at Salem Covenant Church in Washington May 22 and at the Stone Church in New Preston June 12 at 3 p.m.

The choral group, approaching its 40th year of performing in Northwest Connecticut, consists of auditioned singers from towns throughout the area.
