The Kent Park and Recreation Department is offering a variety of programs.
Office hours on the second floor at town hall are Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon. and 1 to 2:30 p.m. Program registration forms are available outside the office weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Yoga Fitness Fusion
Bonnie Jo Cheron instructs sessions blending yoga and pilates Thursdays from 5:45 to 7 p.m. at the Community House on North Main Street (Route 7). Cost is $75 for six meetings or $15 per class.
The program is available for sessions for Center School students in grades K-6 to meet school days from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Pre-registered participants may attend on a full or part-time basis at the cost of $11 per day including snack.
The program will feature homework time, indoor and outdoor activities, games and sports.

Ice skating hosted by Kent Park and Recreation and Kent School will be offered Feb. 27 from noon to 2 p.m. at the South Kent School ice rink. Park passes required for participation are available at $35 for residents or $65 for non-residents. Residents aged 65 and older may skate for free. A $5 daily fee will also be available. Participants must wear a hat and skates.
Ballet and jazz dance classes for youths aged 4 to sixth grade and jazz and tap for adults are offered at the Community House, directed by former Rockettes and Broadway dancer Jeri Kansas at the Community House. Pre-registration is required.
Blood pressure screenings for residents aged 60 and older are available the first Wednesday of each month from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Senior Center along Swifts Lane.
A luncheon program for residents aged 60 and older is offered Fridays at noon at the Senior Center along Swifts Lane, with meals provided by The Kent. A $2 donation is suggested for lunch. For reservations, call 860-927-4627.
Kent seniors are welcome to dine at New Milford Hospital daily from 4 to 6 p.m. Reservations must be made by 2 p.m. that day by calling 860-210-7470.
Free basketball sessions for men and women are offered at the Kent Center School gymnasium. Men meet Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and women meet Mondays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Participants must submit a waiver form available at the gym.
