Katherine Jugler, 90, had family in New Milford

Mrs. Jugler was born Jan. 14, 1922, in Danbury, daughter of the late Daniel J. and Katherine (Keane) Devine.
She is survived by her children, Maureen, and her husband, Paul Matthews, of Simsbury, Brian, and his wife, Cindy Jugler, Brendan, and his wife, Joyce Jugler, Patricia, and her husband, Joseph Durkin, Nancy, and her husband, James Miller, of Danbury, and Sean, and his wife, Ellen Jugler, of New Milford; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Jugler is also survived by two sisters in law, Edna Devine, of Sunrise, Fla., and Ann Devine, of Bethlehem. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis J. Jugler; two brothers, John, and Daniel Devine; and a sister, Sister Marita Daniel R.S.M.
Mrs. Jugler worked for the Danbury Registry in Private Duty, then the Danbury Board of Education as a school nurse. After obtaining her teaching degree, she taught kindergarten and first grade at Hayestown Avenue School until her retirement.
A funeral Mass will take place today (Friday) at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Brookfield.
The Green Funeral Home of Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
