Kent Center School's eighth-grade class will hold a pasta dinner April 5 as a fundraiser for its class trips.
The dinner will be held in the cafeteria of the Judd Avenue school with seatings at 5:30, 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
The menu will consist of salad, baked ziti, a choice of garlic or plain bread, and brownies for dessert.
The cost is $6 per person, with a maximum cost of $25 for a family of five or more.
Walk-ins are welcome, however reservations are appreciated by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The organizing committee will also offer a special "date night" seating at 7 p.m. when the setting will be rearranged with linen tablecloths, flameless candles, flowers, music and flatware, and a maître d' will seat diners.
The menu will include Caesar salad, baked ziti, garlic bread and brownie sundaes.
"We wanted to add something new that was different," said Karren Garrity, an organizer, "especially now that the faculty-student basketball game is on a hiatus."
Tickets for "date night" are $10 per person and must be reserved by email by April 1.
Proceeds will fund the class trips to New York City and High Meadow Resort in North Granby.
