The Kent Art Association will play host to the North East Watercolor Society’s 40th International Show which opens Oct. 23 with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m.

The show, which will run through Nov. 5, will feature watercolors pieces based on a variety of subject matter.

In other news, the KAA has announced the winners of the gallery’s fall show.

They are Theresa Kenny (KAA Award for her pastel “Austrian Mountains,” Diane B. Stoner (KAA Award for her watercolor “Edge of Winter,” Carol Brightman Johnson (KAA Award for oil/acrylic for “Boy at the Beach,” Mary Davidson (KAA Award for Excellence for her acrylic “My New Hat Series #4,” B.A. Wygant (KAA Award for Excellence for her oil on sculpture “Emergence,” Clayton Buchanan (Founders Award/Best in Show” for his pastel “Girls of Today,” Carl Chaiet (KAA Award for Excellence for his ink drawing “Eye of the Beholder” and Erin Nazzaro (KAA Award for Excellence for her work “Reprimanded.”

The gallery at 21 South Main St. is open Thursdays through Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m., as well as Monday holidays.
