June Kubish, 88, worked at Travelers

She was born June 7, 1924, in New Britain, the daughter of the late Russell and Ruth Hess.
She lived in Bantam for more than 65 years, finishing school in Litchfield.
Mrs. Kubish worked in the accounting department of a glider factory during the war, and after marrying, Travelers in Hartford.
She enjoyed working on the farm with her husband.
She drove a bus and van for the town of Litchfield for 35 years.
Mrs. Kubish is survived by her six children, Karen L. Horgan and her husband, Michael, of Bantam; Deborah Mayo and her husband, James of Ukiah, Calif., Dauna McCarthy and her husband, Christopher, of Bantam, Betty Jane Rodgers and her husband, Lee, of Bantam; Joann Anderson and her husband, Bruce, of Warren; and Laura Lee Kubish and her partner, Gary, of Torrington; four sisters, Gloria Porter, of Old Saybrook, Eleanor Thompson, of Westbrook, Betty Byrnes, of Old Saybrook, and Nancy Lawshe, of Federal Heights, Colo.; 18 grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; one stepgreat-great-granddaughter; and 21 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Marjorie Morin.
