Minor Memorial Library in Roxbury will present a program with well-known singer, songwriter and family entertainer Les Julian Aug. 10 at 11 a.m.

He will perform his prize-winning "Dreaming Aloud" program at the South Street library.

The program is part of the gala finale of the library's summer reading program, "Dig Into Reading."

For every 10 books a child finished reading, the Friends of the Roxbury Library made a donation to the Roxbury Residents' Relief Fund, which helps Roxbury residents in need.

After the performance, Paula Sapse, children's services coordinator, will present the donation to Jerrilynn Tiso, Roxbury's agent for the elderly.

Children who participated in the summer reading program will be able to pick up their reading certificate, door prizes and have cake.

Children who planted sunflower seeds as part of the "Let's Plant Now" program are invited to a party at the library Sept. 7 at 12:30 p.m. to share their sunflowers, eat cake and receive a trophy.
