To the Editor:

Julia’s Wings Foundation would like to give a heartfelt thanks to all of our guests, to those who made donations, and to the businesses and sponsors that made our third annual “Evening of Hope” the success it was.

This year the event was held at the picturesque Quaker Hill Country Club.

We all joined together to make a difference in the lives of children and their families fighting aplastic anemia.

We are so grateful to all who attended and to all who so generously donated, as we raised approximately $30,000.

Special thanks to Gary and his staff at Quaker Hill Country Club, Henry and Katie from Lowell’s catering and Marty and Kayla, who created the amazing ambience through their beautiful acoustical music.

We were truly honored to have Susan Robinson, Julia’s social worker from Boston Children’s Hospital, speak in loving memory of Julia and about the importance of the work of Julia’s Wings Foundation.

Susan stressed the financial impact this relentless disease has on families and the limited resources available at this time.

A special surprise was the unveiling of our new JWF logo.

Julia’s Wings Foundation’s mission is two-fold.

The first emphasis is on carrying out Julia’s Wish with the goal of providing financial assistance to families of children with aplastic anemia so they don’t have to suffer through their disease alone.

The second emphasis is on providing funding to medical professionals performing research on developments in and cures for this disease and its related conditions.

Our hope is with continued research and funding, one child’s life may be saved and one mom, dad, sister and family won’t have to endure the pain and suffering that aplastic anemia brought into our lives

We are now receiving applications almost on a weekly basis, and there is no way JWF would be where we are in just three short years without all of you.

So, from the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank you for your continued support of our mission.

With endless appreciation and gratitude —

Mike, Heather
