Minor Memorial Library in Roxbury will present a one-hour workshop, “Creating Joyful Moments”, with Jo Anne Harrison-Becker Sept.3 at 2 p.m.

Designed for staff, caretakers, family and friends of persons diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease, the program will demonstrate how to keep those suffering from Alzheimer’s busy and engaged in meaningful activities, stimulating their brains and helping combat the isolation, loneliness, depression, anger and other symptoms of the disease.

Harrison-Becker, who has worked in the field of therapeutic recreation for 28 years in a variety of settings, is the founder and CEO of Therapeutic Recreation Services, and serves as a consultant and speaker to organizations and conferences.
