Josephine Kuchta, 94, loved her family

Josephine "Josie" Kuchta, 94, died of natural causes Nov. 14 at her home, with her family at her side. She was the wife of the late Julius Kuchta.

Mrs. Kuchta was born June 24, 1918, the eldest of nine brothers and sisters.

Formerly of Yonkers, N.Y., she spent the last few decades looking after and loving her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Kuchta was known as a pillar of strength throughout her life.

Mrs. Kuchta is survived by three daughters, Joan Oricchio, Gloria Marchionne and Eileen Mangin; grandchildren and great-grandchildren Victor Oricchio, Kimberly Weggeman, Todd Mangin, Stacie Marchionne, Edward Marchionne, Jack Mangin, Troy Mangin, Korey, Lauren and Faith Mangin, Drew and Sean Oricchio and Jennifer Weggeman; a brother, Anthony; and a sister, Eleanor. She was predeceased by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y..

The Lillis Funeral Home in New Milford was in charge of arrangements.
