Jennifer A. Rubin, 36, of New Windsor, N.Y., died Nov. 28, 2010, at Danbury Hospital.

Ms. Rubin was born Feb. 1, 1974, in Patterson, N.J., to Mark L. and Barbara (Ebert) Rubin.

Until the age of 17, she enjoyed life as a vibrant personality who lit up any room she walked into.

In 1991, the summer before her senior year in Washingtonville High School, she was in a tragic automobile accident in which she sustained a traumatic brain injury.

Her life was forever changed, and she remained severely disabled as a result of her injury.

With all her limitations, Jennifer continued to light up a room with laughter and smile. She carried herself with great pride and dignity.

Ms. Rubin is survived by her parents, Mark L. and Barbara Rubin, of Rock Tavern, N.Y.; a sister, Amy, and her husband, Jeff O'Connor; two nephews, Ryan and Tommy O'Connor, all of Moorestown, N.J.

She is also survived by best friends Christine and her husband, Patrick Boisvert, and their children, Ian, Aaron and Lily of New Milford, and Suzanne, and her husband, Scott Benz, and their children, Mary, Dianna and Jackson, of Danbury.

A funeral service will be held today (Friday) at 10 a.m. in the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St. in Washingtonville, N.Y. Burial will immediately follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newburgh, N.Y.
