Jeannine Ann (Shivers) Green, 74, of Roxbury, died Feb. 13 following many struggles with cancer.
Ms. Green was a global project manager, author of "Roxbury Tales: Place-Name Stories" and co-author with Eileen Buchheit of "Roxbury and Bridgewater: Images of America."
She was known for her inquisitive intelligence, compassion, sophistication and lilting laughter.
Many have benefitted from her volunteer efforts in Roxbury.
Ms. Green is survived by a sister, Dolly Shivers, of Mt. Tremper, N.Y.; a brother, James Shivers Jr., of Norwalk; and her longtime partner, Isabel Cymerman, of Roxbury.
Burial will be private in the spring. A memorial will take place at a later date.
The Lillis Funeral Home in New Milford is in charge of arrangements.
