Jeanne M. (Hill) Bonner, 83, of Danbury, died June 11 at Danbury Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of 62 years to Herbert Bonner.
Mrs. Bonner was born March 27, 1929, in Danbury, daughter of the late Joseph L. and Myrtle V. (Montgomery) Hill.
She was a member of St. Peter Church and served as eucharistic minister. She was involved with many church activities, such as bingo and the Ladies' Guild.
Mrs. Bonner loved to garden and enjoyed traveling.
In addition to her husband, she will be missed by two sons, Clyde Bonner, and his wife, Pamela, of Sherman, and Herbert G. Bonner, of Calif.; two grandchildren, Jared Bonner, and his wife, Erin, of Sherman, and Karissa Bonner, of Beverly, Mass.; two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Gabriella Bonner, of Sherman; five sisters, Jacqueline M. (Hill) Miller, of Brookfield, Arlene E. (Hill) Dixon, of Mountain Home, Ark., Julia M. (Hill) Holick, of Danbury, Carol Ann (Hill) Schirmer, of Danbury, and Janice G. (Hill) McNamara, of Danbury; four brothers, George W. Hill, of Montour Falls, N.Y., Joseph E. Hill, of Bethel, John J. Hill and Terrance W. Hill, both of Danbury; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bonner was predeceased by six brothers, Louis J., Donald J., Harold E., Robert C., Charles A., and Philip W. Hill; and a sister, Myrtle A. (Hill) Rhamsdorf.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated tomorrow (Saturday), June 16 at 9:45 a.m. at St. Peter Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today (Friday), June 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury.
