Ms. Culhane was involved in sports, Mustang convertibles, traveling and music.
One of her fondest memories was making the Bethel Debs, now the Danbury Debs, and getting a hit off Joanie Joyce, considered the greatest softball pitcher ever.
She loved playing the drums and watching the Yankees and her son play baseball.
She was known as a selfless and loving person.
In addition to her son, Drew W. Culhane, she is survived by her mother, Jennie (Staniscia) Carrizzo; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Deborah Carrizzo; nephews and a niece, including Jason and Holly Carrizzo, Jonathan and Tia Carrizzo, Scott and Shannon Carrizzo and Susan Carrizzo; four great-nieces and a great-nephew, Emily, Elizabeth, Ellie, Chloe and Lucas Carrizzo.
The Green Funeral Home in Danbury was in charge of arrangements.
