James Sullivan, 75, lived in Bridgewater

James R. Sullivan, 75, of Bridgewater, died June 7 at home. He was the husband of Mary (Wheaton) Sullivan for 50 years.

Mr. Sullivan was born June 27, 1936, in New Milford, son of the late James A. and Ruth (Rowan) Sullivan.

He served in the United States Marines, and was a supervisor for Kent Manufacturing Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1995.

Mr. Sullivan was an active member and past chief of the Bridgewater Fire Department.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Jamie Sullivan, and his wife, Charlene, and Brian Sullivan, and his wife, Dawn; a daughter, Amy Sullivan, and her partner, Andrea; a sister, Barbara Eyes; and five grandchildren, Joann, Stacy, Kelly, Brittany and Ashley.

The Lillis Funeral Home of New Milford was in charge of arrangements.
