The Jewish Community Center in Sherman has partnered with local artist and dancer Adelka Polak to offer three, three-hour craft camps.

Polak, artist-in-residence at the Ridgefield Guild of Artists and founder and artistic director of SOVA Dance and Puppet Theater, is a dancer, puppeteer, mask-performer and movement director whose work has traveled to Denmark, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, and Turkey.

Classes include environmental earth arts and crafts for children ages 5 to 11 Aug. 5-9 from 2 to 5 p.m. ($225); recycle your pants for children ages 8 to 15 Aug. 12-14 from 2 to 5 p.m. ($135); and movement, storytelling and theater crafts for children ages 7 to 15 Aug. 19-23 from 2 to 5 p.m. ($225).
