The Institute for American Indian Studies in Washington is presenting an exhibit of fiber works by Vera Longtoe Sheehan through May 31.

A reception with the artist will be held April 7 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Some of Ms. Sheehan's twined bags, baskets and textiles have appeared in films and literature.

The exhibit may be seen Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
