IAIS museum to offer events

The Institute for American Indian Studies in Washington will offer a
variety of programs this month.
Offerings will include its ninth annual Green Corn Festival Saturday, Aug. 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. ($10 adults, $6 children); "Spirit of the Drum," with Allan Madahbee, Ojobway artist and musician, for ages 12 and older Aug. 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. ($125 members, $150 nonmembers); and"A Time of Change: A Reception," to welcome new executive director Laurie Lamarre, who is replacing retiring executive director Elizabeth McCormack, Aug. 23 from 4 to 6 p.m.
