IAIS museum to offer events

The Institute for American Indian Studies in Washington will offer a variety of programs in the coming weeks and months as follows.

Offerings will include a program with a North American porcupine Aug. 26 at 1 p.m.; a program about North American bears Sept. 9 from 1 to

3 p.m.; a "From the Earth to the Sea" clambake and drumming fundraiser Sept. 22 from 6 to 8 p.m.

In addition, the Village Interpreter Program will be open Aug. 25-26 from noon to 4 p.m.

Other activities will include a Native American heritage walk Sept. 23 at 2 p.m. and a walk with Andy Dobos and Deneen Bernier of Three Red Trees School of Natural Living Sept. 29 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
