Howard Hammer, 67, restored classic cars

Howard Miller Hammer, 67, of New Milford, died Aug. 2 at his home. He was the husband of Jane (Cable) Hammer.
Mr. Hammer was born Sept. 17, 1944, in Danbury, a son of the late Theodore and Gladys (Miller) Hammer. He was raised and attended school in the Danbury and Southbury area.
Mr. Hammer was employed as a truck driver for several different companies, including John Daudelin Trucking Co. in New Milford.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles and restoring classic cars.
In addition to his wife of 35 years, Mr. Hammer is survived by his children, grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will take place at his home Sunday at noon.
The Colonial Funeral Home in New Milford is in charge of arrangements.
