Howard G. Kimberly, 75, was a farmer

He was born December 12, 1937, the son of the late Anna Ferency Kimberly and Howard F. Kimberly, and grew up in Bakersville, moving the family farm to New Milford in 1955.
He spent his life working the farm and raising his family. He loved working the land, watching things grow, and he loved his family.
He loved to gather his family together and, as his family grew, "Papa's Barn" was built large enough to accommodate everyone.
Howard is survived by his wife, Margaret Kimberly; daughters Cheryl Kimberly, of New Milford; Donna LaBella and her husband, Chuck, of New Preston; Deb Corcoran and her husband, Randy, of Mansfield; and son John Kimberly and his wife, Brenda, of New Milford.
He is also survived by stepchildren Doreen Larson and her husband, Everett, of South Carolina, and Scott Orie, of Danbury; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Roberta Petit, of New Hartford, and Susan Gary and her husband, Jack, of New Hartford.
He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Mangan Kimberly.
A funeral service will take place Saturday, June 29, at 11 a.m. at Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge St. in New Milford.
Calling hours will take place prior to the service from 9 to 11 am.
Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Torrington.
