The new, 11,000-square-foot facilitywas constructed recently in measure thanks to a significant gift from the Arnhold family.
The department offers the Greater New Milford many advantages in life-saving, emergency care.
Portrayed by parent group the Western Conecticut Health Network as “the largest expansion project in the hospital’s nearly 100-year history,” the emergency department features “all private patient rooms; a larger, more efficient triage room; a centralized nursing station, specialty care rooms; and a decontamination area; as well as improved parking and a sustainable, eco-friendly design.”
The Arnhold Emergency Department is a warm and welcoming facility,” explained WCHN public relations person Andrea Rynn, “with comfortable gathering spaces, dedicated consultation areas, and multiple outdoor gardens.”
“With an elegant brick exterior and copper detailing,” she added, “the emergency department blends seamlessly with the existing hospital building and New Milford’s historic district.”
