The New Milford Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice will host its 29th annual interfaith remembrance service Nov. 18 at 4 p.m. in New Milford. The service will be followed by the lighting of New Milford's Tree of Life.
The service, at St. John's Episcopal Church at the corner of Main Street and Whittlesey Avenue, will honor deceased community members and will feature readings, music and a reading of the Roll of Remembrance.
Afterwards, residents are invited to the lighting of the Tree of Life in front of the Richmond Citizen Center, a few doors down from the church.
A reception will follow at the church.
Trees of Life will also be displayed in Washington, Sherman, Bridgewater, Roxbury and Kent. Kent's lighting will be Dec. 2.
