The Washington History Club at Night will next meet Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Gunn Memorial Library in Washington.

The topic of discussion will be past and present “dining out” places to eat.

Colonial taverns, tea rooms, soda fountains and ice cream parlors, diners, restaurants and bars, school dining halls, lunch stands and more will be discussed.

Participants are invited to bring stories related to the Shepaug Club, the old Mayflower, Parks Drug lunch counter, Washington Pharmacy, Green Drug, the Swedish Smorgasbord, Ritchie’s, Docs, The Casino, Inns of Lake Waramaug, Jonathan’s, GW Tavern, Sugarbowl, The Galleria, Marbledale Pub, Lovie’s Bakery, Washington Arms, Chuckwagon, Erik the Chef, Le Bon Coin and others.

The Washington History Club at Night is a program of the Gunn Historical Museum and meets the third Tuesday of the months of November, February and May at 6:30 p.m.
