The Warren Historical Society will hold an open house May 27 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The event will take place at the Warren Community Center on Sackett Hill Road.

An exhibit from our collection, focusing on the theme “Education in Warren’s History,” will be featured.

Warren was once considered an educational hub, with seven school districts by the end of the 18th century, as well as an academy of higher learning and the Brick School, which has the distinction of having the longest record of continuous operation in the State of Connecticut, from 1784 to 1924.

Refreshments will be served.
