NEW MILFORD — A significant amount of heroin was seized from a Park Lane Road apartment when the Statewide Narcotics Task Force and New Milford Police raided the home of Hector Dejesus, 32, according to New Milford Police Chief Shawn Boyne.

The search warrant was executed Sept. 23 and an undisclosed amount of heroin was seized along with digital scales, packaging material and several hundred unused wax folds used to package heroin for street level distribution, Boyne said.

Dejesus was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school/daycare, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arraigned in Superior Court in Bantam and released on $50,000 court set bond. His next court date is Oct. 27 to enter a plea.
