St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Kent will present "I Travel Alone," a new cabaret with Lynn Henderson, April 6 at 7:30 p.m.

The show will open June 3 at the Metropolitan Room in New York City.

The cabaret is inspired by Henderson's journey by herself --on bicycle, horseback and by foot -- through Myanmar, Vietnam, China, Laos, Cambodia, India, South Africa and other destinations. "I Travel Alone" uses songs that range from Cat Stevens to Noel Coward, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Paul Simon and others to tell the story of her travels.

Henderson will be joined by Douglas J. Cohen on piano and vocals, Bob Sabin on bass and Sherrie Maricle on drums.

Tickets to the event at the 1 North Main St. church are $25 per person at the door and include refreshments and beverages.
