Halloween event on tap for kids

The Washington Lions Club will hold a Halloween night event for children Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Children in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to attend the event at Washington Primary School on School Street.

Offerings will include games, treats, prizes and a costume contest.

Children should wear sneakers or soft-soled shoes.
