The Human Organization Representing Suffering Equines of Connecticut in Washington will host a volunteer day Saturday, Sept. 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Volunteers will prepare the 43 Wilbur Road farm for winter. Tasks may include clean-up, fixing fences and grooming and walking horses.

The fences for Baron and Bronson, two 10-year-old Belgian draft crosses, will be fixed. Both horses are up for adoption.
