The Humane Organization Representing Suffering Equines of Connecticut based in Washington will hold a giant undercover tack sale Feb. 2-3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Proceeds raised at the Wilbur Road organization will benefit jackets for the group's rescue horses.

Larger jackets can cost as much as $150-300 each.

A horse can go one through more than one coat in a season.

Horses able to be ridden require a "cooler" when they sweat to help them dry faster. These coats cost between $50 and $125, depending on the size of the horse.
