Gunn library to kick off film series

Gunn Memorial Library in Washington will present a six-week summer film series, “World Traveler,” July 11 through Aug. 15 at 1 p.m.
The selections are rated as some of the best travel films.
Screenings will include “If It’s Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium” (not rated), which stars Ian McShane as a young British tour guide, July 11; “Before Sunrise,” an impromptu romance and travel film (rated R) featuring Ethan Hawke as an American riding on a Eurail pass and Julie Delpy as a Parisian returning home from Budapest, July 18; “Hundred Foot Journey” (rated PG), which stars Helen Mirren, a proprietress of a Michelin-starred French restaurant, July 25; “Room with a View” (unrated), a Merchant Ivory romance starting Helena Bonham Carter, who stars as an English rose traveling to Italy, Aug. 1; “The Trip” (not rated), a comedy featuring British comedians Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan, who take a road trip through England, Aug. 8; and “Two for the Road” (not rated), a romantic dramedy about a married couple portrayed by Albert Finney and Aubrey Hepburn, Aug. 15.
