An accidental gun shot fired into a neighbor's house led to the Sept. 10 arrest of a 20-year-old New Milford man.

Ross Markey, of New Street, was arrested when New Milford police responded to a report of shots fired on that street, police said.

The investigation found Mr. Markey had accidentally fired his gun through his sliding glass door and into the side of his neighbor's home, police said.

No injuries were reported.

Mr. Markey was charged with unlawful discharge of fire arms, second-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree false statement.

He was released on $500 bond and faced a Sept. 17 court date at Superior Court in Bantam.
