Several places of worship, groups and organizations in the Greater New Milford area will offer a variety of Easter-related events:

The third annual Easter Basket Eggstravaganza will take place March 31 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Kent Specialty Care Facility, 46 Maple St. Admission is $5, with proceeds to benefit the Alzheimer's Association.

Faith Church in New Milford will present "Artifacts: A Dramatic Musical" March 31 at 6 p.m. and April 1 at 9 and 11 a.m. For more information, call the 600 Danbury Road (Route 7 South) church at 860-354-7700 or visit www.faithchurchct.com.

A holiday egg hunt for children 8 and under will take place March 31 at 10 a.m. at the large practice field at New Milford High School, Route 7 South. Rain date is April 1. The event is co-sponsored by the New Milford Parks & Recreation Department and Webster Bank. Attendees should bring their own baskets.

Attendees are asked to bring a canned good for the town's food bank.

Northville Baptist Church, Little Bear Hill Road, New Milford, will host its Easter egg hunt March 31 at 1 p.m. The rain date is April 7. Attendees should bring a basket. Other offerings will include crafts, games, treats and the sale of baked goods. Call 860-350-8397.

An ecumenical Good Friday walk will take place April 6 at noon on the Village Green in New Milford.

Salem Covenant Church in Washington will host its annual Easter bake and flower sale April 7 starting at 8:30 a.m. outside the Washington Food Market in Bryan Memorial Plaza.

The Glenholme School in Washington will host its 17th annual spring egg hunt April 7 at 11 a.m. at its Garden Field.

Offerings at the Sabbaday Lane school will include an egg and candy hunt, photographs with the Easter Bunny, face painting and other entertainment.

Attendees are asked to bring a canned food item to be donated to area food banks.
