Gaylordsville will kick off its holiday celebration with Merwinsville Hotel festivities Nov. 28-30.

The following weekend, Dec. 5-7, numerous organizations will team up for the annual weekend of holiday events.

The Merwinsville Hotel will hold its "Christmas in Gaylordsville" with a holiday party and sale Nov. 28-30 and Dec. 5-7.

A gala party will be held Nov. 29 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Browns Forge Road hotel.

The event is open Nov. 28-30 and Dec. 5-7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a variety of offerings, including story time Nov. 29-30 and Dec. 6-7 at 11 a.m , as well as the sale of goods by local artists, visits with Santa's youngest son, Nathan, and baked goods.

Due to bridge repair on Riverview Road, motorists should turn left onto South Kent Road and follow signs to the hotel.

The Gaylordsville United Methodist Church on Route 7 will host its Christmas fair Dec. 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

An a cappella concert is set for Dec. 5.

The Little Red Schoolhouse on Gaylord Road will be open Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Offerings include the sale of notecards and ornaments, and a book signing with Renee Domogauer, author of "The Washington Oak Kittens," from 1 to 3 p.m.

The Oratory of the Little Way on Oratory Lane will hold a holiday open house Dec. 6 from noon to 4 p.m.

The Gaylordsville Volunteer Fire Department and its Ladies Auxiliary will host a ham dinner Dec. from 5 to 7 p.m. at the firehouse on Route 7, just north of the Gaylordsville bridge. Photographs with Santa will be offered.

The community Christmas tree will be lighted Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.
