The Litchfield Hills Film Festival in New Milford has announced its upcoming events.

A book signing with Garry Camp Burdicks will take place Sept. 10 at 2 p.m.

Mr. Burdicks will sign copies of his first published work, "West to Big Water," a novel that takes place after the Civil War and revolves around the adventures of three ex-civil war soldiers traveling from Connecticut to San Francisco.

A screening of the documentary "Soul of a People" (about unemployed men and women who joined a WPA program to document America in guidebooks and interviews) will be shown Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.

Admission is $5.

The events will be held at the LHFF headquarters, referred to as Gallery 77, at 77 Railroad St.
