The Washington Friends of Music will present its last summer concert Aug. 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the Washington Congregational Church on the Green.

The concert will feature the New Baroque Soloists, including special performances by individual musicians of the orchestra.

Amanda Hardy, a rising star and award-winning oboist, will perform a Telemann oboe solo; Sam Magill, who is also a member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, will perform a cello solo by Handel, and Douglas Myers, the artistic director of group, will play a horn solo by Quantz.

A party with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at Hollister House Garden in town will follow.

Tickets to the concerts are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, $20 for first-time guests and $10 for students. Children will be admitted for free.
