Florence Tillson, 90, lived in Thomaston

Florence "Flossie" (Armbruster) Tillson, 90, of Thomaston, died Nov. 17 at Cook Willow Convalescent Home in Plymouth.

Mrs. Tillson was born Dec. 27, 1921, in Terryville, the daughter of the late Philip and Caroline (Burzler) Armbruster of Armbruster Farm, Terryville.

She worked for the Thomaston school lunch program, the former New Departure Co. in Bristol and Seth Thomas Clock in Thomaston.

She enjoyed playing cards and crocheting.

Mrs. Tillson is survived by a son, James Tillson, of Thomaston; a daughter, Janice Mathews, and her husband, John, of Morris; a granddaughter, Heather Mathews; a great-granddaughter, Noell Laurore, of Stamford; a grandson, Kevin Mathews, of Warren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six brothers, Paul, Howard, Ralph, Alfred and Raymond Armbruster and Edward Heberle, and two sisters, Margaret Miller and Mae Scoville.

Burial was at Hillside Cemetery, Terryville.

The Scott Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
