FineLine Theatre for the Arts in New Milford will hold an open house Aug. 21 from noon to 5 p.m.

School directors Elizabeth Parkinson and Scott Wise will join faculty and others to meet with guests at the 77 Railroad St. school.

Complimentary trial classes for all ages will be offered, spirit and community building crafts will be conducted for young people, and hot dogs, snacks and beverages will be available.

The trial class schedule will be: adult movement, pre-primary ballet/tap for ages 3 to 4, acting for ages 13 and up and modern for ages 12 and up, noon to 12:30 p.m.; jazz/contemporary for ages 7 to 11, acting for ages 11 to 13, acro for ages 4 to 6 and teen ballet, 12:45 to 1:15 p.m.; acro for ages 12 and up, modern for ages 7 to 11 and acting for ages 4 to 6, 1:30 to 2 p.m.; jazz/contemporary for ages 12 and up and tap for ages 7 to 11, 2:45 to 3:15 p.m.; acting for ages 7 to 10 and tap for ages 12 and up, 3:30 to 4 p.m.; and acro for ages 7 to 11, 4 to 4:30 p.m.

FineLine Theatre Arts, a conservatory style community performing arts school with opportunities for pre-professional training, is celebrating its 10th anniversary.

The school has alumni and students currently performing with the Boston Ballet, the National Tour of 42nd Street, The Radio City Music Hall Rockettes, The American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive NYC, the Alvin Ailey School Summer Intensive, the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet Summer Intensive, the Kaatsbahn Extreme Ballet Summer Intensive, Sherman Playhouse, the Warner Theatre, and surrounding regional theatres.

Other FineLine graduates are pursuing acting and writing careers in New York City and Los Angeles, and some are using their performance skills to inform other careers and contribute to their communities in a multitude of ways.
