The Kent Energy and Environmental Task Force will host the second "Environmental Summit" tomorrow (Saturday), Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kent Center School in Kent.

The theme will be what people can do in their own backyards and homes for the environment.

Three workshops are set to be offered: "Home Retrofits: ABC's -- First Steps and Beyond"; "Systems: What's Next, What's Out There"; and "Rethinking Your Yard and Protecting our Liquid Gold: Water."

The event will begin with a keynote address by Roger Liddell, vice chairman of Clear Harbor Asset Management.

Among those who have been invited to attend a "Lunch with our Legislators" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. are U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, U.S. Rep. Chris Murphy (D-5th), state Sen. Andrew Roraback (R-30th) and Kent First Selectman Bruce Adams.

The event will cost $8 in advance or $10 at the door, with an additional $8 for a pre-ordered lunch.
