Ensemble to give free concerts

The Sherman Chamber Ensemble will present free Thanksgiving weekend "Jazzing Up the Classics" matinee concerts in Sherman and Kent.

Concerts will be held Nov. 24 at 4 p.m. at the Sherman Congregational Church on Church Road and Nov. 25 at 3 p.m. at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church at the corner of routes 7 and 341.

Pianist Ted Rosenthal, flutist and vocalist Susan Rotholz, cellist Eliot Bailen, bassit Thomson Kneeland and drummer Chris Parker will perform.

The performances will be followed by a reception with the artists.
