Engaged: Kristin Petersen, Nathan Schoonover

The engagement of Kristin Petersen of Danbury, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Petersen, to Nathan Schoonover, son of Mrs. Mary Schoonover of Newton, N.J., and the late Mr. Ernest Schoonover, is announced.

The future bride graduated from New Milford High School, from Burlington College in Burlington, Vt., with a bachelor's degree in writing and literature, and from Goddard College in Plainfield, Vt., with an master's degree in creative writing. She is a writer.

The future bridegroom graduated from Newton High School in Newton, N.J. He is a researcher for the television and entertainment industry.

A September wedding is planned.
