To The Editor:
It was heartwarming to read the other week the local food drive developed into such a huge success, aided by several local organizations, very generous donations, the U.S. Postal Service and Ivana Butera of the New Milford food bank.
But why, according to the article, do we have to wait another year for the annual food drive to repeat this magnanimity?
Currently under a large and continuing storm cloud of stressful economic and political agendas, why should we wait another year to work some more magic?
What would it take for the community to believe it could try to repeat this success on a quarterly basis?
